Þórunn Bára Björnsdóttir (1950) graduated with an M.A. degree in Art and Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University, USA, in 1985 and a B.A. degree with honours in painting and drawing from The Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland 2009. Earlier she had completed a B.Sc. degree with honours in physical therapy at The University of Iceland in 1980 and a B.A. degree in French and Swedish at The University of Iceland in 1974. Þórunn Bára has staged quite a few solo exhibitions and taken part in collective exhibitions, both at home and in Denmark and Scotland. Her works are, for example, to be found at The University of Edinburgh and the Scottish Parliament Building in Edinburgh (in a private office).
